Internet and ethernet lights on modem blink furiously and pages load slower and slower as time goes by...............just a few minutes. Got new modem a few months ago, and it was an off and on again problem for several months. Was in shop last week while I was gone. He said it was a virus which he removed and reinstalled everything. It worked fine for a short time. Blinking furiously again now. Will restart and it will be okay for a couple of minutes.

don’t pay some one to fix that... Download and run super anti-spyware and malware bytes. then download and run CC cleaner. Reboot.

dude.. sriously. look at my other post. It’s all they will do then charge you $150 bucks.. use to own a repair shop, it’s all they ever do. also make sure what ever antivirus you have (windows defender is perfectly fine, is up to date an enabled.)

do try as someone else said superantispyware and malwarebytes.

you might get rid of your problem for free.....

buy a new pc. the amount of money it sounds like you’re throwing at this, might be a better solution. or do a factory after you back up all your personal files. then make sure you have recovery points enabled so you can just roll back when this happens.
